The Corner Pocket on Main wasn't born in a boardroom or dreamed up from a business plan.
It came from two people who believed they could build something better together.
We're Dustin and Brittany Trevathan. We're husband and wife, parents, partners, and now the people behind The Corner Pocket on Main. Our road to 401 Main Street has been anything but straight. We've worked full-time jobs while raising a family. We've spent nights planning after everyone else went to bed and mornings getting back up to do it all again. We've taken chances, changed plans, learned expensive lessons, faced setbacks, and had more than a few moments when walking away would've been easier.
We didn't.
Along the way, pool became more than a game to us. We saw what happens when people have a place to belong. We watched strangers become teammates, teammates become friends, and a room full of pool tables become a community.
And somewhere in the middle of all of it, the dream got bigger.
We wanted to create a place where the serious player feels at home, but the person who's never held a cue does too. A place where you can shoot league, bring the family for breakfast, grab a burger, meet friends for a drink, watch a tournament, or simply pull up a chair and stay awhile.
Then came 401 Main Street.
An old building in the heart of downtown Cañon City with plenty of history, plenty of work ahead of it, and just enough possibility for two people crazy enough to see what it could become.
So we went all in.
We're building this place while continuing to work, raise our family, chase our dreams, and handle everything life throws at us outside these walls. There have been long days, sleepless nights, paperwork, meetings, renovations, numbers that didn't always cooperate, plans that changed overnight, and plenty of moments where we've looked at each other and wondered what in the hell we got ourselves into.
But every time one of us gets tired, the other keeps moving.
That's us.
We're a team.
And that's ultimately what The Corner Pocket on Main represents.
It isn't about having the biggest building or the fanciest bar. It's about building something we're proud to put our name on. Something our kids can look back on and know their parents weren't afraid to bet on themselves. Something this community can eventually call its own.
When these doors open, you'll see pool tables, a kitchen, a bar, tables and chairs.
We'll see every late night.
Every setback.
Every conversation that started with “What if…”
Every time we could have quit.
And every reason we didn't.
We don't know exactly what every chapter ahead will look like. That's part of the story.
But we know where the next one begins.
